The ‘Mingos will kick off the sixth season of USL League One with their first home match on Saturday, April 13 against Henny Derby rivals, the Richmond Kickers.
Soon, it’ll cost more to park in city-owned parking garages. Officials said the rate hikes, starting in January 2024, will help pay for facility maintenance and ensure all parking structures are safe and comfortable. It’s the first rate increase since 2018. (Channel 3000)

Wisconsin airports are receiving over $38 million to improve infrastructure, bolster safety, and improve connectivity. The federal funding will improve runways, taxiways, terminal upgrades, roadway projects, and more. Dane County Regional Airport will receive $4,890,551. (WKOW)

Coming soon to Atwood Avenue will be Madison’s first kava bar. To be opened at the end of the year by the owner of SolEscape, the Rooted in Sanity Kava Lounge will serve kava (a tropical root used to make psychoactive tea), mocktails, coffee, tea, and cacao. (Cap Times)

That’s not Santa’s sleigh overhead, it’s a F-35. The Wisconsin Air National Guard is holding evening training flights at around 7 p.m. Evening flights are set to run Dec. 4-7 and 11-14. Some residents, previously, have said the jets are harmful to their health. (WMTV)

Hoping to bridge the gap between generations, there’s a new contract bridge club that’s formed at UW-Madison. The school has collaborated with the Bridge Club of Madison to bring the game to students in hopes that it brings diverse people together. (WMTV)
Concert
Ding dong, it’s the Madison Area Concert Handbells calling. They’ll have three holiday concerts this weekend at various churches. The concerts will include popular holiday tunes, with fresh takes on old classics. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. (WKOW)
