Frank Lloyd Wright’s 100-seat theatre at his Spring Green studio is reopening. Closed for six years due to renovations delayed by the pandemic, the first show will be Third Coast Percussion on Saturday, June 8 (sold out). Future shows are TBD. (Wisconsin State Journal)
Eat
Garver Feed Mill launches Food Truck Fridays today through September. The new series, from Garver Events and Sheboygan’s 3 Sheeps Brewing, will feature food, drinks, and live music.
Traffic
On Monday, June 3, construction on West Washington Avenue will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction between Broom and Fairchild streets. Work is expected to last through September. (Channel 3000)
Kids
Monona Terrace announced its “Lakeside Kids” summer season. Taking place at the Terrace on Tuesday mornings for kids 4 and up, coming events include The Wonders of Physics, Power Dance Kids, and James the Magician.
Sports
There are 12 new members of the UW-Madison Athletic Hall of Fame, including Donnel Thompson and Meaghan Mikkelson. The 2024 inductees include seven All-Americans and two Rose Bowl winners. They’ll be inducted in a ceremony the first weekend in September.
Outdoors
For the first time in 221 years, two cicada broods are emerging across America. Though Madison won’t see many, if any, they’re making an appearance not far away. Head over to Lake Geneva to see, potentially, millions of them. (Cap Times)

Madison-based brewery teams up with Harley-Davidson

Verona’s Wisconsin Brewing Company and Harley-Davidson have collaborated on a new non-alcoholic beer — Road King.
The officially licensed Harley-Davidson brew contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. An American Pils, it’s customized with a touch of hops.
Paul Verdu, Wisconsin Brewing Company’s president, stated, “We believe Harley-Davidson riders and fans will be proud to have this special brand in hand, and it will resonate with motorcycle enthusiasts and beer lovers alike.”
With Father’s Day coming, and me being a father, the kids are asking me what I want to do. The answer: the inaugural game of the Madison Night Mares softball team.
