Small Business Saturday is coming up on Nov. 25. What started as an American Express campaign in 2010 to inspire consumers to shop locally has become an annual holiday that’s celebrated nationally.

We asked you to tell us which local small businesses you love shopping with + any deals you’re excited for, and (as usual) you didn’t disappoint. Plus, we included some of the local deals and shops we love.
  • Ally | SASY Saturdays | Starting on Small Business Saturday, keep your eyes peeled for SASY small businesses marked with holiday bows. These businesses will be offering shopping specials to support the Goodman Community Center.
  • Jonathan | Lake City Books | I plan to enter the weekend raffle to win a $100 gift card while scanning the shelves for “Auction,” by UW-Madison professor Quan Barry.
  • You all love shopping small. Check out where else you said you’ll be shopping on Nov. 25.

Midwest-made Favorites

  • 608today | Okay, we had to toot our own horn a little. If you know someone who is constantly forwarding our newsletter to share an event or piece of local history, spread the 608 spirit with these gifts.
  • Simple Times Mixers | Mixologists rejoice at this Columbus, OH brand’s collection of preservative and concentrate-free cocktail mixers.
  • MADE MOBB | Kansas City’s premier streetwear brand sells snapbacks, truckers, dad hats, and son hats (like kid-sized dad hats) in over a dozen styles.
