🗳️ What are we voting on?
In a general election, voters are weighing in on referendum questions + electing candidates to a particular office or position. Here’s who is running and what referendums are on the ballot:
Referendum one:
Should marijuana be legalized, taxed, and regulated in the same manner as alcohol for adults 21 years of age or older?
Referendum two:
Should all records of previous convictions for marijuana possession in small amounts in the State of Wisconsin be expunged?
Referendum three:
Should Wisconsin Statute 940.04, which bans abortion at any stage of pregnancy without exception for rape, incest, or health of the patient, be repealed to ensure legal access to abortion care?
At 608today, we aim to cover local elections in a way that educates and activates our community with unbiased information to encourage individual voter participation. (I.e. vote for whoever + whatever you want to, just make sure to vote.) To learn more, check out our Editorial Ethics Policy.
