If you’re anything like me (City Editor Ryan here), you’re ready to welcome the warm weather descending on the Isthmus + start making plans to celebrate summer in the 608.

Let’s do what Madisonians do bestride our bikes, drink local beers, and cheer on our favorite team, Forward Madison FC. Here’s how it went when I tried the new Bike Valet at Breese Stevens Field, how to level up your game day experience, and how you too can Try This.

What we tried:

We warmed up for game day with the 2022 Trek Pride Ride, filled up on Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, and then kicked back during a happy hour at the stadium.

Fired up and ready to go, we Biked to Breese + kicked off a night of cheering on our favorite Flamingos. Best of all? I was able to leave my prized possession — my bike — in the monitored, easily accessible (and free) valet area, allowing me to fully relax and enjoy the game.

What not to miss:

  • The Flock | This city loves our team, fiercely. And if you’re not ready to cheer, sing + celebrate in the most passionate fan section I’ve ever been a part of — steer clear.
  • Bike Valet | Make a responsible + eco-friendly choice to ride to the game and park your bike in the free valet located off of Mifflin St.

What we’re still talking about:

A ticket to the Bud Light Beer Garden ($40) is the easiest way to feel like you’re actually in the game (after all, you are quite literally on the pitch.) Get sideline access, the best seats in the house, plus access to refreshments without leaving your section.

How you can experience this:

Be a part of The Flock and take in everything Breese Stevens has to offer by grabbing tickets for upcoming games. Band together your flock of friends + show some Mingo pride. 🦩
