It’s Bike Week in Madison. Madison Bikes and Wisconsin Bike Fed have teamed up to make sure Madisonians have ample opportunities to celebrate the occasion.

Locals are invited to take a bike ride with Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway this morning following her 8:30 a.m. press conference at the Monona Terrace.

If morning bike rides with political figures aren’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other bike-centric activities on the docket for the remainder of the week.

The main event is the Bike Week Party at Brittingham Park this Friday, June 9. Stop by 829 W. Washington Ave. from 4 to 7 p.m. for free, family-friendly fun including food, beer, and music.

World Naked Bike Ride

The fun doesn’t end when Bike Week wraps up. Next weekend marks the 13th annual World Naked Bike Ride in Madison. This international event occurs in multiple other US cities to raise awareness of the negative impact of petroleum products.

The specific route will not be made public to non-participants, but the ride will begin at 11 a.m.
