Celebrate Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s 30th anniversary

a gif featuring images from Aldo Leopold Nature Center
Thanks to the petition, the 20 acres where ALNC is located, as well as Woodland Park, the beautiful oak savanna hill on which the Monona water towers sit, were preserved as wild spaces for all to enjoy. | Photos courtesy of Aldo Leopold Nature Center; GIF by 608today
What makes Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) so special is that it’s everyone’s to experience.

How? The trails of ALNC are public land, thanks to the efforts of concerned Monona residents who came together 30 years ago to petition the city to purchase the land, saving it from development.

To celebrate this milestone, ALNC is hosting an open house on Sunday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Keep reading to see what festivities are in store.
