• Yesterday, Rob Brooks defended his proposal to allocate over $614 million in public funding for AmFam Field stadium improvements. The Brewers aim to stay in Milwaukee through 2050, but relocation is on the table if another city offers up better funding opportunities. (Channel 3000)

• The Capital City Trail will close on the John Nolen Drive causeway for bridge repairs Monday, Oct.16- Friday, Oct. 20 and Monday, Oct. 23-Friday, Oct. 27. The repairs will target steel expansion joints until full causeway reconstruction in 2025-2026.

• Dane County is accepting 2023 PIE-RESJ Grant applications to fund programs addressing racial inequalities in criminal justice, health, education, and employment. Grants range up to $15,000 for individual organizations and up to $50,000 for partnerships. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23. (Madison 365)
