The NOBULL CrossFit Games are returning to Madison next week from Tuesday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 6. Here’s how you can get in on the action.

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit falls under the HIIT — high-intensity interval training — umbrella. Workouts are centered around movements that you’d perform on a daily basis; Think: Squatting, pulling, pushing. Similar to Orangetheory, there is a “workout of the day” (WOD) that Crossfitters adhere to during their sessions.

CrossFit Games

Think of the NOBULL CrossFit Games as the Olympics of CrossFit — the best of the best around the world are coming together to compete for the title of being the “Fittest on Earth”.

Watch workouts live online or purchase tickets.

The events start Tuesday, Aug. 1 with the age group and adaptive athletes. Individuals and teams start on Thursday, Aug. 3, and run through the weekend. Events will typically run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

NOBULL CrossFit officials keep most of the workout details under wraps until the day of competition. To see specific workouts when they’re announced, keep tabs on the workouts page.
