Calling all movers and shakers. Are you ready to become an even more engaged citizen? Do you wish you knew more about the goings-on in the 608 before they happen? Make your voice heard by serving as a volunteer member on one of Madison’s 80 (yes, 80) city boards, committees, or commissions.
As long as you are a City of Madison resident, you’re eligible to apply for any vacant spots. These volunteer positions offer locals a chance to create and contribute to conversations that help city staff, the Common Council, and the Mayor make decisions that directly affect your fellow Madisonians.
The Mayor’s Office will keep your application on record and review it as openings arise in your chosen areas of interest.

The Green Bay Packers were busy last week. While they bid farewell to Aaron Rodgers, the team welcomed 13 new rookies during the NFL Draft. Here’s who will be rocking green and gold in the upcoming season:
Round 1, Pick 13 Lukas Van Ness, Defensive End, University of Iowa
Round 2, Pick 42 Luke Musgrave, Tight End, Oregon State
Round 2, Pick 50 Jayden Reed, Wide Receiver, Michigan State
Round 3, Pick 78 Tucker Kraft, Tight End, South Dakota State
I never thought I’d be so invested in the daily life of some local falcons, but I have spent an embarrassing amount of time watching MG&E’s live stream of the soon-to-be parents, Trudy and Melvin. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you guys in the loop so we can celebrate the chicks hatching together.
