Sporkies and Drinkies are awarded to Wisconsin State Fair vendors who craft the most innovative food and drinks for fairgoers.
This year’s Sporkie finalists:
- Cool Ranch Doritos Pickle | Spiral-cut pickle rolled in Doritos and deep-fried
- Deep-Fried Lemonade Bites | Fried Hawaiian rolls filled with lemon custard
- Dirty Chai Cinnamon Roll Lumpia | Cinnamon roll center wrapped in crispy dough with espresso cream cheese frosting
- Elote Corn Ribs | Tossed and fried in hickory-smoked batter
- Elvis Nachos | Potato chips, banana chips, bacon, and peanut sauce
- Hot Ham and Glazers | Hot Ham rolls served on Kwik Trip Glazers
- Loaded Baked Potato Churro | Savory churro stuffed with bacon, chives, and cheddar cheese
- Rise and Swine | Belgian waffle with vanilla custard, maple syrup, and sausage links
Drinkies:
- Fairway Fusion | Tropical Arnold Palmer
- Glazed Donut Coffee Float | Donut-infused coffee topped with a donut hole
- Purple Pickle Lemonade | Lemonade mixed with dill pickle juice
- Tropical Sunset | Fruity jasmine green tea with edible glitter
At the fair (Thursday, Aug.1-Sunday, Aug. 11), look for the 13ft Golden spork and drink statues to find the winners’ food stands.
