The brats are back in town. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Brat Fest 2022 is back at Alliant Energy Center’s Willow Island this weekend. The free carnival, music festival + philanthropy event supports 100+ local organizations — slinging four million brats and raising nearly $2 million in the process.

So we meat again:

🌭 The volunteer-run, three-day festival will take place Fri.-Sun., May 27-29

🌭 Fairgrounds will be open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. with daily events, concerts + other experiences — schedule available here

🌭 The event is presented by Johnsonville — a Sheboygan, WI company serving up brats since 1947

Relish in the amenities:

🌭 Brat fest offers free parking in the Alliant Energy lot (roughly 6,000 spaces)

🌭 Patrons can hop on the Brat Bus and shuttle from the lot to the fairgrounds

🌭 Vendors will be serving a mix of meat + plant-based eats full menu here

Mr. Ed’s Magical Midways Carnival | Fri.-Sun., May 27-29 | 10 a.m.-8 p.m

Enjoy 35+ attractions including thrill rides, kiddie coasters, plus a mix of games and concessions. Pro tip: Play all day on Friday with the $25 unlimited access wristband.

38 Special | Fri., May 27 | 8 p.m.

Hold on loosely when this legendary southern rock group graces the Ho-Chunk Grand Stage.

Brat Fest Bun Run | Sat., May 28 | 8:30 a.m.

Work up an appetite in one of four events: 10k Bun Run, 5k Bun Run, 5k Dog Jog, or the 1k Kids Bun Run. Registration is required and can be done online or in person on Friday + Saturday.

Budweiser Clydesdales | Sat. + Sun., May 28-29 | Times vary

Get up close and personal with the beloved beer-famous horses + watch as they tour the fairgrounds. Think: Maybe you know them from something like this.

Mad City Cornhole Tournament | Sun., May 29 | 10 a.m.

Is it cornhole or bags? Either way, sign up to compete in the multi-skill level tournament with a cash prize.
